John Kimbriel, MA, BCBA, LBA
Clinical Director
John was born and raised in the suburbs of Richmond and returned to the area over two years ago after living in Austin, Texas, to be closer to family. He became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst just before leaving Austin and has worked in the field for over a decade. Though initially drawn to behavior analysis through his passion for teaching, John chose to pursue a career in the field after witnessing the meaningful impact it has had on the lives of his clients and their families.
Throughout his career, John has worked with children, teens, and adults with autism and related developmental disabilities. His work has focused on building skills in functional communication, daily living independence, and socialization.
In his free time, John enjoys exploring the city on his moped, catching films at the Byrd and Bowtie theaters, running through local roads and trails, and discovering new spots to eat!

Maddy Arave
RBT
I'm Maddy and I am excited to be joining the team. My husband and I moved to Virginia from Utah in 2024 with our dog, and are still having fun exploring everything VIrginia has to offer. In my free time I love traveling, LEGOs, reading, and will occasionally indulge in watching (trashy) reality TV. I have nearly four years of experience as an RBT and a lifetime of meaningful connections with individuals on the Autism Spectrum. I earned my Bachelor's in Behavioral Science and am currently in a Master's program working towards BCBA certification. I truly believe that ABA is about building a foundation for every child to have a voice - regardless of how they communicate - in a world where they are often overlooked. I look forward to meeting all of you, and working together to support the growth of your child.
