WHAT TO EXPECT

Step 1: Contact Us

Contact us to inquire about our services.  We will gather your insurance information and conduct a verification of benefits to provide you with an estimate of your expenses.

Step 2: Assessment

If you are comfortable with any costs, we will schedule an assessment.  You may choose to conduct the assessment in your home or in our clinic, located in Carytown.  A Board Certified Behavior Analyst will speak with caregivers and conduct assessments with the child.

Step 3: Developing Treatment Program

The BCBA will use the assessment information to develop a treatment program.  The BCBA will review the program with caregivers before submitting to insurance for authorization approval.

Step 4: Begin Services

Once we have received authorization from your insurance company, the BCBA will begin services.  Typically, a BCBA will provide direct services for a few weeks before training a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to conduct sessions.  This allows the BCBA to develop appropriate schedules and plans before training other team members.

Step 5: Ongoing Supervision and Collaboration

The BCBA will continue to provide supervision of your child's therapy, ensuring that targets are updated on a regular basis as your child masters goals. The BCBA will also schedule caregiver collaboration meetings to review best practices and ensure generalization to caregivers.
